November is

Children's Grief Awareness Month

A Month of Compassion, Awareness, and Hope

Every November, we join communities across the world in recognizing Children’s Grief Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to shining a light on the needs of grieving children and reminding us that no child should have to navigate the journey of loss alone.

It is a time to raise awareness, extend compassion, and take action - so that every grieving child feels seen, supported, and connected to hope.

The Third Thursday in November

Each year, the third Thursday in November is set aside as a special day of reflection within this month. It’s a day to acknowledge the profound impact a death can have on a child and the critical importance of providing understanding and support.

But our mission extends far beyond a single day - it’s about standing beside grieving children throughout the year.

Why Your Support Matters

With your involvement, we can:

  • Educate the community by raising awareness about the challenges grieving children face.

  • Equip peers, parents, teachers, and caregivers with the tools and resources to provide meaningful support.

  • Honour the memories of those who have died by uplifting the children who carry their love forward.

Remembering Together

Every November, we come together in meaningful ways - through activities, events, and moments of remembrance. These gatherings help grieving children and families honour their loved ones while finding strength, connection, and healing in community.

Together, we can create a world where grieving children receive the support, understanding, and hope they deserve. Thank you for standing with us during Children’s Grief Awareness Month - and every day of the year.
