PROVIDING A SAFE PLACE FOR CHILDREN TO HONOUR AND UNDERSTAND GRIEF.
What Happens at Camp?
Our camp is a free, non-denominational bereavement camp for children and teenagers, ages 6 to 17, who are grieving a significant death. We provide a traditional, fun, and high-energy camp experience, combined with grief education and emotional support.
The camp is staffed by bereavement counsellors and community volunteers professionally trained by a child bereavement expert.
Over the 4-day camp experience, our goal is to provide a safe place and space for bereaved children to honour the memory of a special person who has died.
What makes our
Camp special?
Understanding grief
We offer an atmosphere where children can safely express themselves, play, and be free to grieve any way they want.
Making new friends
Meeting other bereaved children who understand what they’re going through helps them come together, normalize their grief, and find a sense of belonging.
Healing together
We provide a healing atmosphere that helps children find hope and joy. Our high staff to camper ratio ensures every camper gets the attention they need.
Who should attend?
Our camp is for children and teenagers aged 6 to 17 grieving a significant death, regardless of the amount of time that has since passed. Our campers can be at different stages of the bereavement process.
